ART provides consultancy services to evaluate and compare different radar architectures and provide technical support in the design process of radar systems. Custom analysis tools have been developed to provide performance prediction estimations of radar systems by using analytic models. The performance implications of the different design parameters of a radar system can therefore be evaluated.
A large number of parameters for each radar subsystem are supported.
Surface and volumetric clutter models have been implemented both for land and sea scenarios. Noise, clutter and target signal levels are estimated as a function of the range.
Different environmental conditions can be considered to analyze the performance in non ideal conditions, such rain, fog or snow.
The performance as a function of the target characteristics (RCS, RCS fluctuation) can be compared. Multiple kinematic models for the target are also supported.
