ART provides a GIS-based analysis service to optimize the location of radars and sensors in the deployment of integrated surveillance systems. A custom tool has been in-house developed to exploit digital terrain models, ortophotos and sensor specifications to estimate site specific sensor performance metrics. This information is then used to optimize the location of the different sensors within a specific surveillance scenario to maximize the coverage over the user defined area of interest.
Latest available GIS data from multiples sources (LiDAR, NASA SRTM30, ….) to provide high accuracy coverage maps.
High resolution and accurate coverage maps can be generated for any location in the world.
The optimal number of sensors to deploy and the best location to maximize the coverage in the area of interest is calculated.
Manual inclusion of critical obstacles in the digital terrain models is supported to achieve high accuracy estimation of the coverage maps.
