Modern Nations nowadays are aware of the increase in crime and terrorism. Terrorist actions such as the September 11th attacks in the USA, the Madrid train bombings in March 2004 and the London underground and bus attacks in July 2005, together with the increase in drug trafficking and the problems associated to illegal immigration in certain countries, have directed Nations’ efforts to strengthen the capabilities of their Law Enforcement and Public Safety Agencies to deal more effectively in preventing and protecting the general population against these threats.
The strategy to fight against these dangerous threats is based on the availability of technology solutions to help Public and Private Law Enforcement Corps to give the best response in critical mission areas:
To identify and understand threats, assess vulnerabilities, determine potential impacts and disseminate timely information.
Detect, deter and mitigate threats to our Homeland.
Safeguard people and their freedoms, critical infrastructures, property and the economy from acts of terrorism, organized crime, natural disasters or other emergencies.
Lead, manage and coordinate the adequate response to acts of terrorism, organize crime, natural disasters, or other emergencies.
